REALTOR®, Sales Representative
Thanks for checking out my site.
I have been buying, renovating and selling real estate for 30 years. For the last 13 years I have been a licensed REALTORwith REMAX Eastern here in Peterborough working with Buyers and Sellers of Residential, Waterfront and Income/Multifamily properties.
Over my career I have been through thousands of homes and talked with more than a thousand people about real estate in Peterborough. I have created the Peterborough Price Watch, Peterborough Real Estate Snapshot, The Peterborough Real Estate Show, 1st Alert Search for Buyers and—most important for Sellers—the Seller Competition Watch, Home Value Report and Informed Seller's Guide.
I sold one of the first non-waterfront, million dollar plus homes in our area in 2014. I have sold multiple homes over asking price including two for $120,000 over asking.
My business model is simple—it's all about you.
1) I know it sounds like a cliché, but I really do believe you deserve my attention. You hired me, so I make sure you work with me. I am your only point of contact. You have my direct cell number and you always talk with me. No assistant(s). That way we are always on the same page.
2) I guarantee that I will never have more than three active listings including yours. You are one of a select few rather than one of many. This ensures that I have enough time to take care of you.
3) My Proven Selling Plan is exclusive to me and is rooted in the Benjamin Franklin quote: "Failing to prepare is like preparing to fail." My Proven Selling Plan prepares your home for sale at the price it deserves and in the shortest time possible.
I look forward to talking with you about the sale of your largest asset, but more importantly, the sale of the place where all those memories have been made.
I am husband to Kelly since 1995 (Christmas Eve). Father to Jordon (1997) and James (2000).
Kelly and I met while working in Kelowna, BC. She was the office administrator for a furniture store and I was a radio host doing an on-location sales broadcast at the furniture store. Idle chit chat over a pizza lunch that day turned into a skiing date and we've been together ever since. Jordon was born in Kelowna, BC and James in Vernon, BC.
When I left radio in 2002 we moved to Peterborough, Kelly's home town. It was a good time to move as the boys were five and two, so the transition wasn't too difficult for them.
To get my feet on the ground I worked for my in-laws’ furniture store, The Clearing House. We settled in on Wallis Dr. The boys went to Westmount PS in French immersion and then St. Peter CSS in French immersion. Over the years they played soccer, baseball, basketball, lacrosse and beach volleyball, but hockey was their passion. And so, Kelly and I spent a lot of time at the rink. Kelly was the manager of James’ hockey team for many years and I was the "videographer" for several of Jordon's teams. I also volunteered time on the PMHC board. Our boys are our joy. Watching them develop into the fine young men they have become has been a real treat.
Today Kelly and I are learning to be empty nesters for most of the year. James plays hockey for the Saint John Sea Dogs in the QMJHL, so he is away from mid-August through April. And Jordon lives, studies and works in Ottawa full time, attending U Ottawa heading into his fourth year in economics on his way to a law degree. He works at the Grand Pizzeria in the market where he earns enough to pay his way through school. Between the two boys we travel to either Ottawa or Saint John regularly—and we wouldn't have it any other way.
In these days of high speed technology, which I embrace, it is too easy for you to find yourself not clear on what's happening as you sell your home and buy your next home. Because I only work with three sellers at a time, I make sure your questions are answered by me, that you understand what's happening and what's coming next. If this is the way you would like to be treated—let's talk.
